At the Centre for Environment Education Nepal (CEEN), we are committed to fostering environmental awareness and promoting sustainable practices within the community. Through our diverse range of education programs, we aim to empower individuals of all ages with knowledge, skills, and tools to become active participants in environmental conservation and stewardship
Our work is focused around four ambitious goals
Education
Programmes for the Community
We organize interactive workshops and training sessions on various environmental topics. These programs are designed to enhance awareness and understanding of environmental issues, sustainable development, climate change, waste management, biodiversity conservation, and more. Our experienced facilitators deliver engaging sessions that encourage critical thinking and inspire action.
We collaborate with schools to provide customized environmental education programs for students. Our interactive sessions, presentations, and hands-on activities enable young minds to explore the natural world, understand environmental challenges, and develop a sense of responsibility towards their surroundings. We work closely with educators to integrate environmental education into the school curriculum.
CEEN actively engages with local communities to create a positive environmental impact. We organize awareness campaigns, community clean-up drives, tree plantation initiatives, and sustainable livelihood programs. These initiatives foster a sense of ownership and inspire individuals to take proactive steps in preserving and protecting the environment.
Our nature camps and eco-tours provide individuals with immersive experiences in Nepal’s rich biodiversity and natural landscapes. Led by experienced guides, participants get the opportunity to explore diverse ecosystems, observe wildlife, learn about local cultures, and gain a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between nature and communities
CEEN offers capacity-building programs for NGOs, environmental professionals, and community leaders. Through specialized training sessions and workshops, we enhance their skills in project management, environmental impact assessment, conservation planning, advocacy, and community engagement. By strengthening the capabilities of these stakeholders, we contribute to the collective effort of sustainable development.
